Violence and Crime In The Streets

Now a days violence and crime in our very own streets of New York has been very shocking about the amount that's been happening. Recently on the news an unfortunate death of 4 people has occurred in Sheepshead Bay. A man for two days had gone on a killing spree which caused 4 deaths, stabbing of more victims and a robbery of a car. This is a tragic event and scary to know that it wasn't far from many of our our neighborhoods. He was a drug addict which could have been 1 reason for the actions that he had done. Along with this there was a man who tried to rob a lady in a bakery and when she said she didn't have any he sexually assaulted her. Parkslope was said to be one of the most safest neighborhoods and this has happened changing that thought of many people.
All this news is scary enough to hear about and recently my friend has been  stabbed by a group of kids. Thankfully he is alright but the thought that it's someone I know and so close to where I live and almost all of my friends that it could of happened to any of us as well. It's upsetting to hear because it was for no reason and it's unimaginable as to why people would do such things. It's such a shame that in our own neighborhoods we have to walk watching over our shoulders.
